I think one of the good things about Araucana is that Marcela only has a few properties, and so she can give proper individual service. In previous years I've rented through the larger agencies, and the service was not anywhere near as good - you are dealing with the boss which makes a huge difference! Marcela has emailed me to say a left a couple of things behind in the apartment, and that she will be keeping them for me when I next come. That is a nice personal touch! Marcela will certainly be my first choice on subsequent visits. |

I had the extreme pleasure of staying at one of this website's featured apartments in Buenos Aires for over a month. There is no end to the compliments I can pay both to the outstanding property I stayed at and to the hostess who made the process so smooth. The property itself is a charming old world building which became an object of extreme admiration to all locals and foreighners who visited me, beautifully furnished which such accents as parquait floors and elegant architectural elements. The hostess managed these properties with an unparralleled level of efficiency and genuine concern for my personal enjoyment and comfort during my stay. I do plan on returning to B.A. shortly, and I can guarantee my stay will be with Araucana properties. |

The impressive building, contemporary furnishings and elegant appointments became "home" for us during our 5 week's in Buenos Aires. We really enjoyed our two months in Arenales and Larrea apartment - it´s probably the most luxurious place we have ever stayed! It´s really spacious for a studio, very clean and modern, and is equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed the pool and our private balcony. Marcela is a great landlady and was always very helpful. |

Had a fantastic 10 days in BA. The apartment in Recoleta was clean and very comfortable and in a great safe area. Marcela was brilliant in the lead up to my trip , solving any concerns I had , booking a driver to pick me up from the airport. She was there to meet me at the apartment, she gave me advice on places to see and she was always on hand if I needed anything. I was fortunate enough to call the Larrea property home for six months. The Araucana management staff, headed by Marcela, was equavilent to having the concierge service of a 5-star hotel available at all times. The location in Recoleta could not have been more convenient to access everything Buenos Aires has to offer in every direction, whether via public transportation, taxi, or on foot. The studio was impeccably decorated and included every detail and convenience anyone could possibly require for a most enjoyable stay and to be able to consider "home" whether for a short or long-term stay in Buenos Aires. My wife and I spend a month, March, 2011, in Callao and Libertador apartment. It was ideal for us and I recommend it very highly. Its a large apartment, beautifully furnished, and well appointed -- it is lived in by the owner sometimes, so it has all the extras you might want -- kitchen appliances, dvd, cd players, air conditioning, etc. Its very aesthetic -- really quite a beautiful apartment, wonderful furniture, pix on the walls, etc.... The location is 2 or 3 blocks from the hotel alvear and a block further to the recoleta park facing the cemetary with all the restaurants. Libertador is a very noisy street but the apartment is soundproofed so you hear almost nothing from the street at all, as long as the windows are closed. Marcela Altuna, the realtor who manages the apartment, is lovely and completely solicitous of any requests we had. We would not hesitate to rent again. |

For five years, my wife and I rented our apartment in Buenos Aires. During that period we were very fortunate to have found an excellent manager in Marcela Altuna. I can't say enough about her...she has a very professional manner that immediately puts renters at ease, her English is very good, she has great communication skills. Whenever anything went wrong, she immediately had an answer or solution ..I trusted her instinctively. We had set up an account in the States giving her the ATM card to cover all local costs such as repairs, electric bills, condo fees etc. Each month she would send us a detailed accounting of expenditures which we then matched up with our bank statement - there was never a discrepancy during the whole 5 year period. Then all the little things like providing flowers and wine for each new arrival, including a surprise champagne breakfast the morning our children arrived. I remember when we sold the apartment, the new owner kept asking, "now, who does this" - Marcela does it, "now who does that" - Marcela does it - she handled everything! We felt so comfortable all those years, owning an apartment half way around the world because we had such trust and confidence in her. One last thing I might note - we chose Marcela as our manager over the larger management companies because she was always the one in charge, she was a very competent, one person operation. With the larger companies there would be new people all the time who wouldn't have all the history of how to fix things that went wrong, how you liked the apartment to look and all those hundreds of other details that made our small rental enterprise so enjoyable and successful. I could not recommend her more highly - she was a real joy to work with !! |

We owned an apartment in Palermo for 5 years and Marcela managed it for us for the last 4 years (until we recently sold it). Marcela did a superb job - she handled any maintenance issues that arose; she handled the payment of all expenses for the apartment; she met and oriented the tenants and interacted with them during their stay. Her English is excellent; she went above and beyond what was expected in her dealings with the tenants. We repeatedly got comments from tenants about how wonderful and helpful Marcela was. Marcela supervised the maid and made certain that the apartment was spotless for every guest’s arrival. She gave us detailed accountings each month and balanced our account to the penny. We wholeheartedly recommend her. She is completely professional and a pleasure to work with. |
